Indian River Habitat for Humanity

Who We Are
Indian River Habitat has been in operation in Indian River County on the Treasure Coast of Florida (about half way down the east coast) for more than 17 years with our first house being built in Gifford in 1992.

Our Mission
Indian River Habitat is an ecumenical Christian ministry working in partnership with people from all walks of life and faiths to build homes and communities with those in need and to encourage everyone involved to live and grow into all God intended.

Habitat Home Center
Completed in the summer of 2005, the 30,000-square-foot facility includes a 10,000-square-foot storage and preparation area and a 20,000-square-foot retail sales area. Donated building supplies, appliances, furniture and home decor items are brought to the Home Center daily, and donors receive receipts for tax purposes. The Home Center had already generated some $4 million in sales since opening, and just broke $100,000 in gross sales for the month (March)! Our Home Center continues to be a successful, vital fund-raising arm of IRHFH. Click here to find out more about the Home Center.
