The School District of Indian River County is nestled beside the Atlantic Ocean, halfway down the east coast of Florida. Centrally located 75 miles south of the Kennedy Space Center and 135 miles north of Miami, our 543 square miles contain beautiful beaches, immaculate ocean and river front communities, and endless groves of renowned Indian River oranges and grapefruit.

The School Board of Indian River County is comprised of five elected representatives of the community. Board Members are elected to four-year terms. The Superintendent of Schools is appointed by the Board. All business meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Teacher Education Center (TEC) located in the District Central Offices, unless otherwise specified.
